Personal communication skills:
Working successfully in a band (or any working group) requires coaching for young people. "Music Ensemble Etiquette" can be delicate. This involves learning to communicate in new and different ways to allow for the maximum amount of creative space, kindness, and fun for all members of the group.
Smaller is Better:
We are keeping this workshop small for excellent teaching attention to all participants.
With a small workshop all activities will be personally supervised within the building complex and its grounds by the instructors.
What to bring for music time:
Your instrument, a strap for standing and playing, a cable for electric guitar (if applicable). Vocal mic and stand if you own them. Ipod with favorite songs loaded (The internet is slow in the studio). Notebook for writing lyrics and other ideas.
What to bring for non-music time:
-Bag lunch and drinks (or food available for purchase downstairs in the building complex).
